About the data

Coverage

Known gaps

What is not covered yet

  • State-licensed assisted living / residential care is live only in the states listed under the residential universe; other states are not yet ingested.
  • State licenses for nursing homes are live only in some states; where a roster has no CCN, links to CMS records are by exact street address and ZIP (INFERRED).
  • State inspection reports for assisted living are not yet ingested (published per facility by each state).
  • CMS MDS / claims quality measures, survey summary and SNF QRP not yet ingested.
  • Building / property records not yet linked.
  • Owner organizations are linked across facilities by exact normalized name; individuals are never merged.
CMS publishes a rolling inspection window: CMS rolling lookback: ~3 most recent standard surveys + complaint / infection-control inspections in the prior 3 years. A facility with no citations in that window may still have had findings earlier.
